EODev, a French clean energy company specializing in hydrogen power generation and energy storage systems, and Baudouin, a leading French manufacturer of power solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to bring industrial-scale solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) power generation to market. This collaboration paves the way for a new distributed power offering, set to be unveiled in September 2026.
Adressing today’s energy challenges
Across Europe and beyond, operators of data centers, industrial sites, and critical infrastructure face a shared challenge: securing continuous, dependable power amid rising electricity demand, constrained grids, and lengthy connection delays. While renewables and energy storage are essential to this transition, many sites also require an always-on, on-site power generation source to complement them.
This is where Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) technology comes into play.
SOFCs convert natural gas, renewable gases, or hydrogen directly into electricity through an electrochemical reaction, delivering:

Alongside its hydrogen generators and battery storage systems, SOFC technology adds a continuous baseload power solution for customers requiring 24/7 electricity. Each standard system delivers 600 kW and can be scaled to multi-megawatt power requirements.
For Baudouin, this partnership extends its expertise in power generation into next-generation fuel cell technology, delivered through a partner with deep integration and service capabilities.
Under this partnership, EODev will integrate Baudouin’s SOFC solutions across Europe, with exclusive rights in France and Poland, and explore further opportunities in international markets.
The solution is currently undergoing field validation through pilot installations, ahead of its commercial launch in September 2026, with first customer deliveries targeted for Q1 2027.
