The GEH2® becomes a reference across the globe

EODEV We Love Green 1

As the first half of 2023 draws to a close, let's take a look back at some of the key events of the past few months, which have seen EODev's GEH2®s in operation from one end of the planet to the other, and reach a first milestone of a hundred units sold. This gives us the opportunity to thank here the growing list of our partners, customers and distributors who contribute to accelerate the deployment of our solutions.

Distribution, demonstration, decarbonization

The summary of this first half of 2023 lies in three keywords: distribution, demonstration, decarbonization. It is clear that the demand for the use of our GEH2® for events is growing, which gives us an opportunity to thank for our customers from equipment rental groups such as United Rentals in the United States, LOXAM, Revolt and Kiloutou in France, Flow Solutions in the United Arab Emirates or Kennards Hire / Blue Diamond in Australia, as they demonstrate the benefits of using the GEH2®: not only the absence of harmful emissions and noise, but also their reliability.

For example, the GEH2® operated during the We Love Green music festival, which brought together more than 100,000 spectators at the Bois de Vincennes, supplied its "Playground" space with electricity and avoided the release of 334 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere, without any power cut — see the video detailing the event below. Hydrogen also made its mark on the Tour de France thanks to our customers Eiffage Energy Systèmes and GCK Energy, who supplied the partner villages during stages #6 in Cauterets-Cambasque & #9 by Puy-de-Dôme.

But the GEH2® is not only visible in France ; it is also welcomed for events abroad, like the F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia, or in French-speaking Switzerland to power a Music Festival. Its "prime power" application in support of the network, or even instead of it, therefore continues to generate rising interest everywhere.

The four corners of the planet

In parallel, this first semester enabled us to activate live demonstrations with our distributors in several countries: from GENERAC in the United States to NILSSON Energy in Sweden, from GENPOWER in the Netherlands to AL GANDI and AL JERI in Saudi Arabia, from Hydrologiq in the United Kingdom to the various ENERIA subsidiaries in Europe, the EODev family continues to grow. A family that can also count on the initiatives of TOYOTA branches to present the GEH2® at various events to raise public awareness of the benefits of hydrogen, with, among other things, concrete applications for charging electric vehicles in the absence of electricity from the grid. This is how the GEH2® demonstrated its qualities in Italy, Belgium and New Zealand, and also participated in the ANZAC Day commemorations on April 25 in Villers Bretonneux, to honor the memory of the soldiers who stopped the German offensive towards Paris in 1918 — an event followed live by hundreds of thousands of Australians and New Zealanders on the other side of the globe.

Educational objectives

Finally, faithful to its educational objectives, EODev continued to carry the voice of decarbonization by hydrogen through various conferences, TV and radio broadcasts. Invited by BPI and Caisse des Dépôts, Thibault Tallieu, our Marketing Director, spoke in June as part of an awareness-raising event dedicated to the energy transition, the opportunity to present our solutions but also to receive a diploma from the #Natura2050 program which certifies that 400m2 of territory will be restored and preserved until 2050 on our behalf. Mélanie Fiore, our Communication Manager, then spread the word during VivaTech, as did Anthony Vernizeau, our Sales Manager, when featured in an interview on BFM's Tech&Co show, during VivaTech and France Inter's morning radio show.

In the maritime world too

However, this overview would not be complete without a mention of our maritime activities. Our REXH2® on-board generator is being integrated on a wide range of boats ranging from fast America's Cup tenders to a fishing training vessel and a nearly 30m yacht.

The REXH2® was thus showcased for a few days in Marseilles during the Meet4Hydrogen fair, then in Amsterdam during the Electric & Hybrid Marine Technology show; before becoming a central element of EODev CEO Jérémie Lagarrigue's speech during the hydrogen round table organized as part of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge in early July, an R&D challenge that EODev has supported since the beginning of the company, and of which Jérémie is President of the Jury.

The review of the next semester, which already promises to be busy, will take place at the end of the year, with a lot of new undertakings to be expected ! Until then, do not hesitate to follow all our news on our social networks.
