The GEH2 hydrogen generator, eligible for the WAZIP program

The transition from diesel to clean energy has just reached a major milestone in Washington State. Our hydrogen fuel cell power generator, the GEH2, is now eligible for the Zero Emission Incentive Program (WAZIP), a state-supported initiative administered by CALSTART on behalf of the Washington Department of Transportation.

Supporting the energy transition

This program aims to accelerate the adoption of carbon-free energy generation equipment by encouraging businesses to upgrade their fleets of generators and other power generation systems, opting for more sustainable solutions. By providing financial assistance, the state of Washington aims to support the energy transition and encourage widespread adoption of cleaner energy sources.

This initiative follows the launch in 2025 of the CORE program in California, for which our hydrogen power generator is also eligible.

How does the WAZIP program work?

The program offers attractive financial incentives for eligible businesses:

  • $175,000 base grant for eligible businesses,
  • +15% for small businesses,
  • +10% for underserved communities,
  • +$30,000 to support hydrogen supply

As hydrogen becomes increasingly competitive with diesel, the case for this transition has never been stronger for rental companies, utilities, fleet managers, and infrastructure operators.

This initiative follows the launch in 2025 of the CORE program in California, for which our hydrogen-powered generator is also eligible.

Please note that the funds allocated for these incentives are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To take advantage of this opportunity, don’t waste any more time, contact our U.S. partner Steven DeSantis at Reno Battery right awaysteve.desantis@renobattery.us
